Earn 15 % recurring on every writer you refer.
For as long as they stay subscribed. Chaptora credits a share of the net price of every paid month, not a one-off payment for the sign-up. The calculator works out what a given number of Referred users is worth per month.
How it works
Apply
One form, read by hand. We answer every application by email, and an accepted application carries your Affiliate code and your link.
Share your link
Your Affiliate code never changes. Add it to any Chaptora address as ?via=your-code and it counts on every public page, not only the start page.
Get paid
A Commission is due 30 days after the month it covers. Once your due Commissions reach $100 we transfer the money and send the Payout statement.

Questions
How long does my link count?
A visitor carries your Affiliate code for 60 days. If they see several codes in that window, the last one wins. Attribution is fixed at sign-up and never changes afterwards, so a writer who signed up through your link stays yours even if they later arrive through somebody else.
What if they sign up now and pay much later?
You still earn. There is no purchase deadline: a Referred user who upgrades years after signing up still earns Commissions for you, every month they stay subscribed. Only the paid plans Quarto and Folio earn Commissions, so a Referred user on the free plan earns nothing until they upgrade.
When is a Commission actually mine?
A Commission is pending for 30 days after its billing period starts. If the plan lapses inside that window, through a failed payment, a refund or a downgrade, the Commission is void and never paid. After 30 days it is due and waits for the next Payout.
When do you pay out?
Once your due Commissions reach $100. A Payout is made by hand as a bank transfer, through PayPal or through Wise, in USD or in EUR, and it always covers all of your due Commissions at once. Nothing is automatic, and partial payouts do not exist.
What is the Payout statement?
A self-billed document, a Gutschrift under § 11 Abs. 8 UStG, that Chaptora issues on your behalf. It lists every Commission it covers, the USD total, the exchange rate, the EUR amount and the VAT treatment that follows from your tax status and your country. Applying means consenting to that procedure.
Can I refer myself?
No. A sign-up with your own email address is not a Referred user and earns nothing. An Affiliate is also not a Chaptora account: there is no affiliate login to manage, and your code, your Payout statements and every answer about your application reach you by email.
Where do I find the Affiliate Terms?
On the Affiliate Terms page, linked from the application form and from here. That page carries no text yet, so the rules that govern the program are the ones stated here: the 15 % rate, the 60 day window, the 30 day pending period, the $100 threshold and the self-billed Payout statement.
